While I don't usually make political statements in this blog, I feel like the utter xenophobia behind the outrage over a little boy with pink nail polish, is too much to ignore. So, in this little space of the internet, I formally celebrate a mother bonding with her son, whether he is playing soccer, learning how to color inside the lines, practicing ballet or wearing pink nail polish!
So cheers to diversity, to embracing all types of people whether gay, straight, black or neon nail polish, and to leaving kids out of political demagoguery and hateful messages.
Have a love-filled weekend, everyone! And here are some simple words of wisdom before I go:

ReplyDeletePilar, I am so with you on this...I can't believe someone is wasting breath criticizing this - it makes me cringe!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this picture, I thought it was so cute to see a bond between a mother and son! I was barely even paying attention to the nail polish! To me, it seems like everyone loves to criticize and nitpick everything that someone does and I just don't get it. Great quote! xoxoxoo
ReplyDeleteSeriously cheers to diversity and he is a little kid - come on!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend dear and hope the beach is great!
