After a long absence...

I realize it has been quite a while since my last post. Recently my family suffered a great loss and it has been hard doing anything outside the day to day things. Although I feel I have been through some tough times in the past, coping with sorrow is a new reality for me. However, as the days have gone by I realize that I missed writing... no matter how little this corner of the internet may be, or how small the audience, it is a pleasure to sit down and take some time to look at those things that inspire me. I have also missed reading my favorite blogs, commenting and keeping in touch with fellow bloggers, after all, blogging kind of becomes a way of life, no?

So, as a somewhat-late-arriving New Year's resolution I intend to post more regularly and no matter how dark things may seem to look at the brighter side.

Clearing Storm, Ansel Adams

In memory of my father: Sunset in Sitges, his birth place.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that 2011 has been off to a good start, any New Year's resolutions (whether kept or broken ;)?

xoxo

  4. oh honey, i'm so sorry for the tough times you are going through. i'm sure a break from the blog was a very necessary part of your process, and we all understand when life requires all of your energies. it's nice to see you back here though, and i hope you can find what you need through your blogging. sometimes it's just the thing to help sort out the myriad of emotions filling us up. hugs to you my dear!

  6. Oh my dear, I'm so sorry for the loss. Sometimes we need to take some time off from our normal activities to heal. But I'm really glad you've found your way back.
